Teri Roth Alexander
Teri established Alexander Financial Planning, Inc. in 1997 after gaining extensive investment and planning experience at Merrill Lynch, R. Meeder & Associates, and a small financial planning firm in Columbus. She has built an organization from the ground up focused on meeting the personal financial needs of individuals and families.
Prior to embarking on a career in financial planning, Teri taught in a primary school in London, England and tutored learning disabled children in the Columbus School System. It was during her teaching experience that she began to formulate a method of delivering personal financial planning. Teri grew up in Dublin and has been a resident of Grandview Heights for over 30 years.
She is a 1980 graduate of Bowling Green State University with a degree in Education and Psychology. Prior to completing her Certified Financial Planning degree through the College of Financial Planning, she completed several business courses at Franklin University. In 2009 she completed her Master’s degree in Financial Planning at the College for Financial Planning in Denver, CO.
Teri has been active in her community and in her profession. She has served as a city council member for Grandview Heights, on the board for Northwest Counseling and is past president of the local Institute of Certified Financial Planners (now the FPA). She is a past board member of the Grandview Heights/Marble Cliff Education Foundation and a current board member of the Columbus International Program. She is also a member of the Worthington Estate Planning Counsel, the Catholic Foundation Advisory Board, the National Association of Personal Financial Planners (NAPFA) and the Financial Planning Association (FPA).
Teri has 3 grown children and enjoys spending time with them. She also enjoys, running, biking, playing flute, reading, listening to music, gardening, cooking and playing with her dog.
